"In 2021, I had a lot going on: I was trying to finish my doctorate degree, I was training for a Gran Fondo cycling race, I was switching to a more demanding job, and I was facing very emotional moments in my personal life. I thought I was handling everything properly, but in reality, it got to a point where I was having to leave aside some of my priorities. Many friends suggested going to a counselor or even therapy, but at that point I didn't see how I could 'stop' my life and go to therapy. I had many misconceptions about therapy. POMS is not therapy. After a friend's suggestion, I decided to make an appointment (January 2022) with Megan because I figured it wouldn't take much time and why not; I could listen to some quick advice... plus it wasn't therapy, and I would have no further commitments. I also didn't have to prepare for the meeting. In the initial meeting, I learned about POMS and Megan gave me some key pointers. I also shared with her everything I wanted to do, what I wanted to accomplish, and how I thought I would handle it. With the LEGS method, Megan gave me vital insight and she suggested some ways in which I could refocus myself on both what I had to get done, and what I wanted to get done. After that meeting, she didn't give me homework, but she said she would follow-up with a proposed management plan. Couple of days later I received her suggestions, a detailed calendar with a realistic timeline, and most important of all, advice on how I would be able to handle all my responsibilities and still have time and a way to focus on my personal life. We had similar follow-ups meetings that were scheduled based on my progress. In 2022, I graduated from my PhD, I have completed a Gran Fondo every month of the year, and I have been successful at my job. With POMS, I acquired some useful tools that I apply before becoming overwhelmed by responsibilities and commitments, and that help me organize my day to day life... so I can plan for my long term goals."

Planning a wedding can be an overwhelming. There are so many things to think about -- from big picture ideas to small details. Using the LEGS method, Megan really helped make every part of the planning process manageable, and even fun! Her event planning templates allowed us to create straightforward task-lists that were easy to accomplish, and made delegation a breeze. She also kept our families and friends on track by helping us coordinate recurring zoom calls where we talked about outstanding items. She was patient and kind when we got overwhelmed, and got us back on track with the LEGS method when we needed it. It was super helpful to use all the tools that Megan has created to help with our big event. We would have been lost without her :)

I sought out Megan’s assistance while in the process of buying a new home and preparing to rent our current home. Our to do list felt overwhelming! I had lists upon lists of tasks flying around in my own head, but I felt scattered and unsure where to begin. Megan helped me create a planner to organize, prioritize, and schedule the various tasks, which has given me a sense of control and made the process feel much more manageable. It has also helped my spouse and I stay on the same page and more easily divide labor and track progress. Megan gave us the advice and tools we needed to go from being frazzled and overwhelmed to feeling like we are on track to tackle our tasks as a team. Thank you, Megan!
